Furless Cosmetics Vegan Eyeshadow + Brushes Review

Did you know that many makeup brushes are still made from animal hair? In this day and age there's really no need to either - there are some wonderful cruelty-free products out there.

I love animals, so I don't want to use them to put on my daily makeup! I was therefore delighted when Furless Cosmetics reached out to us recently, to let us try some of their beautiful animal-friendly products. Furless is an Australian-based beauty brand, who make 100% cruelty-free and vegan professional-grade makeup brushes and cosmetics.

The first thing we noticed upon receiving the products is just how stunning the packaging and design are. The level of thought and beauty put into every detail make these products such a pleasure and luxury to use.

I should point out too that both Virginia and I are all about authenticity, so we will never recommend anything to you that we don't love ourselves, nor whose values we don't support.

So when I tell you that both of us love Furless Cosmetic's products, you know that I mean it. (Yay!)

The Brushes

Firstly let's talk about the brushes. They feel beautifully soft, fluffy and gentle against the skin, and apply the makeup so smoothly and precisely. They're also just incredibly gorgeous looks-wise... oh those pretty deep purple tips!

You can get the vegan brushes on their own or in sets, like the Purple Power Brush Set that we received. It comes in a purple carry case with 8 different brushes, including:

- Large Powder Brush
- Angled Contour Brush
- Foundation Brush
- Angled Fluffy Eyeshadow Blending Brush
- Fluffy Eyeshadow Brush
- Angled Liner Brush
- Small Eyeshadow/Concealer Brush
& a Lip Brus

If bright pink or aqua is more your thing, you can also get the brush tips in these colours, as well as in all-black. How fun!

The eyeshadow

So honestly, both Virginia and myself truly adore these loose eyeshadow pigments. They apply so beautifully and smoothly, and give a gorgeous shimmery effect. We found that a tiny amount goes a long way too.

SEDUCE (bronze), DEVIOUS (silver) and BRUTALISE (jade blue) were the shades we tried. Such funky names hey?
My favourite is probably the bronze 'seduce' colour (which I wear as a brow powder as well as eyeshadow), but I like all 3.
The jade blue shade, which I initially thought could be a little too out there for me when I first saw it in the box (as I don't normally wear bright shades of eyeshadow) surprised me by how subtle and classy it looks when applied.

(Virginia's favourite is the silvery Devious - which she loves wearing to work meetings because the colour is so elegant.)

In terms of the ingredients, they are all cruelty-free and vegan-friendly, as well as being non-toxic.

Brutalise is a beautiful shade of jade blue which looks much more subtle on than in the box.

Here I am wearing the same blue Brutalise shade on my eyelids, and Seduce (bronze) on my eyebrows.
