Vegan Ballerina Agnes Muljadi: What's In My (Ethical) Handbag

In this series, we delve into the handbags of people around the globe, who are aiming to live life more kindly. This time we'd like to introduce you to a vegan ballerina from Los Angeles: Agnes Muljadi.

On Instagram she is known as @artsyagnes, where she uses her influence to advocate for vegan and socially conscious brands to her 150k+ followers.

So, what does this ethical fashionista carry in her handbag?

Over to you agnes..

The tote bag:

The bag is an Angela Roi bag that I got from my fave ethical boutique Bead & Reel. I love this bag because it holds everything and is very comfortable to carry.

The items in my bag are:

  • Hipsters for Sisters fanny pack
  • Djuna Shay/Ashlee Piper Cool Ain't Cruel make up pouch
  • 100% Pure nail polish, mascara and concealer
  • Eco tools brushes
  • Lippy Girl lip gloss
  • Teri Miyahira eye shadow

I love all of these items because they're vegan, all natural, non toxic, cruelty free and they support the kind of lifestyle I embrace.

Thanks for sharing what you carry in your bag Agnes.

The eye shadow brand is new to us, and one of the things we're loving about this series is discovering vegan finds like this, for all of us to share.

By Henrietta

Henrietta is the 'daughter' half of the Future King & Queen mother-daughter duo, and is the face you'll find in front of a camera. She strives to live gently on this earth, and to make the world a kinder, fairer place.

Henrietta is a recent graduate with a degree in Commerce + a diploma in French, and has a passion for using business skills to drive positive social change. She works in ethical fashion, and is also a model for ethical and sustainably minded brands (drop her a line here if you'd like to work with her).

After being vegetarian for many years, and gradually transitioning towards veganism, she attended a panel discussion 2 years ago on the dairy industry (held by Voiceless). From then on, it made complete sense to commit to a fully vegan lifestyle, as a way of being compassionate towards animals, the environment and people.

It was then a natural progression to consider the impacts of her other daily decisions, and so her interest in ethical fashion and sustainably minded living in general was born.
