Organic Basics: Danish Sustainable Underwear
When you're trying to build a more sustainable, ethical wardrobe, a great place to start is with the basics, right?
I recently tried out some undies from Danish eco-friendly label Organic Basics, and it's safe to say they've become some of my new favourites.
Organic Basics was started back in 2015 by four school friends, who shared a passion to bring better, more sustainable fashion to the world.
Their foundation range includes underwear, tees and socks for women and men, made from GOTS certified organic cotton. (This is what I've got and am loving.)
They've also recently launched a SilverTech range, which allows you to wear your underwear, socks and shirts for longer without having to wash them. The clothing is made by spinning sustainably sourced silver thread into the organic cotton, making them antibacterial and odour-preventing, so you can apparently wear them for days on end without needing to wash them.
(This could save a lot of water, as according to OBs, washing and drying our clothes accounts for 2/3 of their environmental impact)!
It's great to see how transparent OB's are about their production processes too, as you can find detailed information and certifications on their factories on their website.

Transparency - These pieces were kindly gifted to me by Organic Basics. This post contains affiliate links, which means we receive a small commission if a purchase is made. (This helps us to cover costs, like website hosting & time spent researching sustainable brands). Using these links won't cost you anymore, and we'll never recommend a brand to you that we don't love ourselves. As always, we are keen to support small businesses with ethics & great products, who are providing fabulous vegan options.
