Hand + Body Moisturiser: our favourite cruelty-free picks

cruelty-free-hand-body-moisturisers

Oh these are a few of our favourite things...

all vegan & naturally-focussed of course.

Vere: Deodora Hand Balm

Vere-crueltyfree-hand-balm

This is one of the most nourishing moisturisers we've ever tried,
and smells divine with its Mandarin, Cedarwood and Rosemary essential oils.

Vere products are produced in small batches in their Melbourne apothecary,
using only botanical ingredients.

Grown Alchemist:
Persian Rose & Argon Extract Hand Cream

This hand cream is deliciously rich,
and has an exquisite floral scent that makes you feel
calm and indulged with each inhalation.

Ingredients are certified organic botanicals,
and its packaging is heavenly rose-coloured.

It's size and shape also makes this moisturiser a perfect travel companion.

Sukin: Moisture Rich Body Crème

We love Sukin for making cruelty-free, environmentally-focused skincare accessible for all.
It certainly stays true to its clever double-meaning slogan of
"Skincare that doesn't cost the earth".

Regardless of its affordable price though, its products are great,
and we love using this body crème as an everyday moisturiser.

Aesop: Geranium Leaf Body Balm

It's no small wonder that Melbourne-based Aesop is now adored all over the world.

Its high quality, naturally-focused moisturisers are deeply nourishing,
and always deliciously fragranced.

Although its products are available online, there is nothing like walking into an Aesop store for an immersive, indulgent experience.
Plus, you often walk out with bonus samples in hand.

Castille de Fleur: Hand Lotion

Castille de Fleur, another Melbourne apothecary, use only 100% pure, sustainable, botanical essential oils to scent their products.
This means no synthetic fragrances are used whatsoever.

As well as moisturisers, it produces perfumes, candles and soaps,
which means a lot of effort goes into ensuring they smell fantastic.

This hand lotion is light, yet also quite nourishing,
and is absorbed quickly into the skin.

By Henrietta

Henrietta is the 'daughter' half of the Future King & Queen mother-daughter duo, and is the face you'll find in front of a camera. She strives to live gently on this earth, and to make the world a kinder, fairer place.

Henrietta is a recent graduate with a degree in Commerce + a diploma in French, and has a passion for using business skills to drive positive social change. She works in ethical fashion, and is also a model for ethical and sustainably minded brands (drop her a line here if you'd like to work with her).

After being vegetarian for many years, and gradually transitioning towards veganism, she attended a panel discussion 2 years ago on the dairy industry (held by Voiceless). From then on, it made complete sense to commit to a fully vegan lifestyle, as a way of being compassionate towards animals, the environment and people.

It was then a natural progression to consider the impacts of her other daily decisions, and so her interest in ethical fashion and sustainably minded living in general was born.
