We recently discovered a fresh young brand making luxury lingerie. What's new about that, you ask? Plenty of lingerie factories around the world making lovely products.

Yes, but Naja not only makes some of the most gorgeous pieces we have seen in a while, but the back story gives the brand ethical credibility - from their use of recycled PET fibre fabrics, to their Underwear for Hope program, which means 2% of every purchase goes towards supporting employment of single mothers who can work at home. Each bra comes with a lingerie bag, made by single mothers in their own homes.

Founded by Catalina Girald (right) a former NYC attorney and Gina Rodriguez (Golden Globe winner for best actess in a comedy series for "Jane the Virgin"), the unlikely pair formed Naja on a shared belief and passion to empower women with an acceptance of their own bodies and to support underprivileged women. 

Making high quality lingerie for modern women who want higher standards of production, a lower environmental cost and made safely in fair trade conditions doesn't mean this lingerie isn't femme fabulous! The intricate prints and patterns, combined with elegant curvy cuts and rich colours have totally captured the modern woman's heart and eye. We reckon this young company will go far.

Eco Conscious Production & Design

Fabric is digitally printed, rather than dyed, to reduce water usage in production. Each collection includes bras & panties made from fabric woven from recycled plastic bottles (PET). The resulting fabric is sweat wicking and antimicrobial. 

Naja's garment factory employs (mostly single) mothers, with flexible work policies to suit the demands of juggling work and care. Naja are striving to make the world a better place, by paying for the school books & supplies, uniforms and school meals of their worker's children. 

Swimwear is also offered in a fabric made from recycled plastic bottles - we love this sculptural twirled navy blue number (right) and the removable belt on the multi-colour one piece adds a touch of the smarts to the beach scene.
