A Red Dress For December
With the start of December comes the beginning of the Christmas festivities, and in Melbourne that also means the beginning of Summer.
Inspired by this magical time of year, I decided to shoot this organic cotton red dress outfit in one of my favourite, majestic streets. With its twinkling sunlight and enchanting arched trees, it feels like a fairyland...
The petrol blue Mary-Jane shoes are from Vegan Style in Melbourne. (My mum Virginia got them a few years ago now, so they don't carry the exact same style anymore but have similar pairs. Luckily for me, we have the same size feet so I can dip into her shoe collection!)
The necklace is my favourite piece of jewellery, and was a recent birthday present. It's made from up-cycled metal from artillery shells in Cambodia by Saught, which provides skills and employment to the local community. I love that this label turns things of pain and suffering into things of beauty. Read more about it here in an earlier blog post.

- Bag was bought in Portugal earlier this year, and is made from cork, with a bamboo handle & lined with navy blue nylon. We purchased it from a tiny shop in Porto that doesn't have a website. (Good excuse to go back to Porto though!)
